Account Access
New employees receive an email when they are hired that includes their 700# (Banner ID) and Network ID (NID). On your first day, your network account becomes active immediately.
Your employee email account will NOT be active until your hire date (first day of work). On your hire date, you can sign in using your Network ID and password.
If you ever forget your Network ID or password, you can use UCM’s self-service tools to recover them.
How to Recover Your Network ID
If you know your 700# and can access your personal (recovery) email address, you can look up your Network ID online.
Use the Network ID Recovery tool: https://www2.ucmo.edu/webapps/network_lookup
You will be asked to enter:
- Your last name
- Your 700#
- Your status (choose Faculty/Staff)
- Complete the “I’m not a robot” verification
After submitting the form, your Network ID will be emailed to your personal (recovery) email address on file.
How to Reset Your Network Password
Once you know your Network ID, you can create/reset your password using UCM’s Single Sign On (SSO) page.
Go to the SSO login page: https://sso.ucmo.edu
Click “Forgot Password” and enter your Network ID.
A password-reset email will be sent to your personal (recovery) email address with a link that allows you to create a new password.
After resetting your password:
- Close any old login pages
- Go to ucmo.edu → Campus Links (three bars) → MyCentral
- Log in using your Network ID and new password
NOTE: You may be asked to complete MFA registration if this is your first login
If You Cannot Use Self-Service
You will not be able to reset your password online if:
- You do not know your 700#
- You cannot access your personal (recovery) email address
If you cannot recover your account online, your identity must be verified in person.
Steps if you cannot access your personal email
Your personal email address can only be updated by Human Resources.
You will need a valid photo ID to update it.
If your identity cannot be verified electronically
You will need to visit a campus location in Warrensburg or Lee’s Summit with a valid photo ID to regain access to your account.
NOTE: The Technology Support Center cannot change your personal email address and cannot reset your password manually.
Student Employees
If you are both a student and a UCM employee, you may have two Network IDs:
- One for your student account
- One for your employee account
Make sure you are using the correct Network ID for the system you are trying to access.
