Student Software/Applications Guide
Within 24 hours of enrolling in a course, students gain access to software and applications to support student learning and help them redefine what's possible.
Gmail/Google Suite
Student email and Google Suite access is granted within 24 hours after enrollment. Your university account allows you access to your student email address (hosted through Google/Gmail) as well as the Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets, etc.) for the duration of your academic career at UCM.
To access your university email, click the three-bar Campus Links menu at ucmo.edu and select UCM Email. Your username will be your university email address. Once you reach the SSO page, enter your student credentials (username and password).
AI resources
Grammarly
An AI-powered writing assistant, Grammarly is a real-time proofreader used to check spelling, punctuation, grammar and overall clarity.
To access Grammarly, go to the student activation link and log into the SSO page using your student credentials.
Google Gemini
Integrated into Google's products and services, Google Gemini is an AI assistant used for studying, guided learning, brainstorming, and research. Students are provided access to Gemini upon enrollment.
To access Gemini, go to gemini.google.com and log in using your student email address. Log into the SSO page using your student credentials.

Brightspace
Used by students and instructors, Brightspace is a learning management system utilized for in-person and online courses. Students will have access to Brightspace upon enrollment, though individual courses are made available by the instructor. If you experience an issue or disruption in Brightspace it is best to contact your instructor first.
To access Brightspace, click the three-bar Campus Links menu at ucmo.edu and select Brightspace, then log in using your student credentials on the SSO page.
Microsoft 365
Create documents, reports and presentations with the suite of tools in Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
To access Microsoft 365, visit office.ucmo.edu and enter your student email address. Log into the SSO page using your student credentials. Once you are logged in, click Apps in the upper left to view the available applications.
Adobe Express
Create, edit and view images, PDFs and videos with Adobe Express, a content creation app. All students have access to Adobe Express, though access to other Adobe applications may be granted depending on the requirements for your course or degree program.
To access Adobe Express, go to adobe.com and sign in using your student email account and click Continue (DO NOT click continue with Google). This will authenticate through the SSO page and allow you access to Adobe Express.
Canva
An approachable graphic design platform, Canva allows users to create visual content for presentations, social media, flyers, stickers, posters, videos, etc. Canva is available to full-time students.
To access Canva, go to canva.com and log in using your student credentials.
Infobase Learning Cloud
Infobase Learning Cloud is a information literacy tool to build skills in the digital world.
To access the Infobase Learning Cloud, go to the log in page and enter your student credentials.
James C. Kirkpatrick Library
The library online database allows students to search, read and bookmark academic articles and studies, as well as find books within the library's collection. Visit the library page to learn more about resources available to UCM students.
To access JCKL online resources, click the three-bar Campus Links menu at ucmo.edu and select James C. Kirkpatrick Library. Select 'My Account' and log in using your student credentials.
