The Duo Mobile application is the easiest and most secure way to authenticate — just tap “Approve” or input the 3 digit code on the login request sent to your Android or iOS device. You can also quickly generate login passcodes, even without an internet connection or cell service.

Setting up Duo with Android

1. Receive the Duo enrollment email

  • An enrollment email from "no-reply@duosecurity.com" should be sent to your UCM email.

 

 

2. Open the enrollment email and click the link following "To begin, click this link to enroll a phone, tablet, or device:"

  • This will open a new tab welcoming you to Duo Security.

 

 

3. Click 'Get started'

 

 

4. Choose "Duo Mobile" for device verification.

  • Any option can be used, but Duo Mobile is recommended for the best setup experience.

 

 

5. Add your cell phone number and click "Continue"

 

 

6. Verify your phone number

 

 

7. Click "Next" to install the Duo Mobile application

  • Return to the browser to continue the setup process.

 

 

8. Once the app is downloaded, open the Duo Mobile app and tap 'Set up account'.

 

 

9. The app should now be asking you to "Link your account". Tap 'Use a QR code'

 

 

10. A QR code should appear on your browser. Use the Duo Mobile app to scan the QR code.

 

 

11. Give a name to your newly linked Duo account.

 

 

12. The Duo Mobile app may prompt you to perform a test authentication. If so, follow the instructions provided to learn how to use Duo Mobile.

 

 

13. Your account should now be link to Duo Mobile. Below is how a Duo account will look on your device.

 

 

 

 

 

Setting up Duo for iOS

1. Receive the Duo enrollment email

12. Name your newly linked Duo profile

 

 

13. The Duo Mobile app may prompt you to perform a test authentication. If so, follow the instructions provided to learn how to use Duo Mobile.

 

 

13. Your account should now be link to Duo Mobile. Below is how a Duo account will look on your device.

 

 

14. Choose to allow or turn off notifications for Duo Mobile

  • By allowing notifications, you can verify your identity from your phone's lock screen!

 

 

 

17. Choose to allow or turn off data collection for the Duo Mobile application.
